Call it energy, drive, or ambition – they have something they are after. Think of those in sports. Michael Jordan and Andre Agassi had a drive all their lives to do what they do. They love it, work at it hard, and have a passion for their game. But true also of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. In fact, find a happy and fulfilled person and you will find passion.

If you want to quit your job but don’t know what to do instead, start by choosing one kind of work to investigate. Identify what you want to change, notice work you enjoy, and talk with someone already doing it. You can take those steps while you’re still employed.
